Who Handles Your Data

The controller of the personal data collected through this website is STATUS Language Centre LLC (company number 35295346), 66 Sobornosti Street, Poltava, Ukraine. Below we refer to ourselves as "we", "us" and "our".

This policy covers the website and the personal account you can create on it. Teaching itself is arranged separately with you, and any data handling specific to your course is explained when that arrangement is made.

We do not sell your data and we do not hand it to anyone for their own advertising.

What We Collect and Why

We ask only for what we need to reply to you and to show the site the way you set it up.

Enquiries Sent Through the Form

When you send an enquiry, we store your name, phone number, optionally your email address and comment, and the study direction you chose. We also store the language you were using on the site and the page or source you arrived from — so that we answer in a language you understand and know which of our announcements actually work. We need this to get back to you.

Personal Account

When you register, we store your email address, first and last name, optionally a profile photo, your interface language and the date you accepted the terms of service. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile photo from Google. We never see your Google password.

Protection Against Automated Requests

The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. During the check, your IP address and technical details about your browser are sent to that service. Without it the form would be flooded with spam.

Cookies and Browser Storage

Functional cookies keep you signed in, remember your language and colour theme, and remember where you came from within a single visit. Switch them off in your browser and signing in stops working.

On top of those, the public pages of the site load the Google Ads tag. It sets its own cookies and tells Google that you opened the page, and that you submitted an enquiry — which is how we see which of our ads actually bring people here. What you wrote in the form, along with your name, phone number and email, is not passed to Google: only the fact that an enquiry was sent. The tag is not present in your personal account or in the staff area. You can block it with a browser extension that stops advertising trackers — the site will keep working.

Children

We teach children, but only an adult may create an account on this site. If you send an enquiry about a child, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and are providing their details on their behalf.

If you believe a child has registered on their own, write to [email protected] and we will delete the account.

Who Else Sees Your Data

A few companies help us run this website. Each of them receives only what its part of the job requires:

• Cloudflare — protects the form from automated requests and stores the profile photos you upload
• MongoDB Atlas — the database that holds accounts and enquiries
• Resend — delivers our email (sign-in links, enquiry confirmations)
• Google — signing in with a Google account, if you choose that option, and the Google Ads tag on the public pages
• Hosting provider — the server the site runs on

We also disclose data when the law requires it — on a request from a court or an authorised body. Unless we are forbidden to say so, we will tell you first.

Who on Our Side Sees Your Data

Accounts are visible only to the centre staff who need them for their work: the administrator and the managers who run the groups. They see your email, name, sign-in method, and the dates you registered and last signed in. No one sees your password: it is stored in a transformed form that cannot be read back.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Some of our providers store data outside Ukraine — in the European Union and the United States. By using this site you agree to that transfer. Data that leaves the country is treated under the same rules as the rest of this policy.

How Long We Keep It

Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Form enquiries are kept while the question you asked is still relevant, and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we remember the conversation if you come back.

When you delete your account, it becomes inaccessible immediately and, after 30 days, we permanently remove your data from the live system — both the record about you and the profile photo you uploaded. Until that day you can change your mind and restore the account simply by signing in.

Backups are kept for a limited time and rotate, so deleted data disappears from them with the next rotation. Until then the backups stay encrypted and are used only to recover from a failure — we never pull data out of them for day-to-day work. The same goes for service logs: they are short-lived and are erased on a schedule.

Your Rights

Wherever you live, we give everyone the same rights over their data:

• To know. Find out exactly what data we hold about you and what we do with it.
• To get a copy. Ask for a copy of your data in a readable form.
• To correct. Have inaccurate or outdated data fixed.
• To erase. Ask us to delete your data. Sometimes this makes using the account impossible — the account is then closed.
• To restrict or object. Ask us to stop certain uses of your data.
• To complain. Contact the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, or a court, if you believe we have breached your rights.

To use any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We reply within the period the law allows.

How We Protect Your Data

Traffic between your browser and our server is encrypted. Passwords are never stored in a readable form. Access to the database is limited to those who need it for their work. Backups are encrypted as well.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that puts your rights at risk, we will notify you and the supervisory authority as quickly as we can.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy — for example, when the law changes or the site gains new features. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will ask you to accept it the next time you sign in.
